Thanks for all the news. I hate I can't come to the reunion. I would love to see everyone. I will be thinking of you all and looking on the website for pictures. I have just retired from 30 years of teaching and plan to have lots more time. I have 4 grandchildren and two on the way so I will be traveling to spend more time with them.. My mom is still in Akron, in Rockynol Assisted Living so I will be back and forth a lot more now to oversee things. Hope to catch up with some old friends.

Hi gang. So sorry that once again I am not going to get back to Akron for the party! The hospital I work at always seems to be going through a review late July or early August. I support the Birth Center, Cardiology and the Emergency Department.  I'm a senior project manager in the quality; always hoping that the senior refers to my level of experience and not my age! My hubby and I making plans for early retirement maybe by mid 2010. Our daughter just graduated from college in psychology and managed to land a full time job in her field. Our son graduate 2 years ago and is in the process of moving with his girlfriend to Syracuse for graduate school. Have a wonderful 60th Birthday blast!

 John Hagerman:
Out of town.  With you in spirit'

Francis Singer-Black in Australia:
Have fun, love to all and, Happy Birthday!!

Ed Grossman in Australia:
Hi Beverley,
Many thanks for this email.  Unfortunately I didn't receive the original information about the "weekend party festivities" but would not have been able to come anyway because of work commitments.    A 60th birthday celebration is a great idea!!

Given that I haven't yet made it to a Buchtel reunion I am hoping to make it to the next one -- I assume that the next one is in 2012.   I'll probably still be working  -- I really enjoy what I do and have no plans to retire anytime soon -- but I will try to block out two to three weeks for a visit to the US.  Australia is a long way away from the US  -- it's a 16 hour flight from Melbourne just to the west coast of the US and then another 7 - 8 hours to Akron.  It's such a long trip that whenever we visit the US we stay for two to three  weeks and travel around visiting friends and relatives.

I've just had a look at the Class of '67 website and would like to echo all the positive comments made by everyone else.  It's a fantastic website!!.

By the way, I did get to Akron in 2007, although I couldn't make it in July.  I came to Akron in June -- it was great to see Akron again and to catch up with close friends.   I also visited Buchtel.

Best wishes,
Ed Grossman

Sylvia Sims-Canty in AZ:

Wow, what a wonderful website. You go girl. It was good talking to you. In the near future I will put some info on the site.

Edith Smith-Perry and Johnnie Perry:

Hi Beverly,

I am back to work and doing fine.  Johnnie and I are going to a family reunion in Detroit.  Again thanks for your concerns

Mickie Barich-Johnston:

Hope you had a wonderful time.  I am in Charlottesville, VA and have lots of family stuff going on this summer and 3 different directions to go in.  I know you all had a good time.  You are sure a great reunion committee.
Mickie Johnston
