Dear Classmates: I have been practicing law in Chicago for the past 40 years.  One morning, not too long ago, I woke up with the epiphany that I do not like dealing with other attorneys!  As difficult as that can be, nothing prepared me for the ordeal of dealing with a teenage son.  My boy is 15 and a sophomore in high school.  Yes, if you've done the math, you've determined that I did not reach puberty until my 50s.  One good thing about growing older is that I've finally been able to grow facial hair.  When I was in my 40s, I tried to grow a beard and ended up looking like a six-year-old with an overactive thyroid.  Now at least my facial hair counterbalances my loss of hair on top of my head. Otherwise, I'd look like a six-year-old with an overactive thyroid and a receding hairline. Look forward to seeing many of you at the reunion.

As we enter our retirement years, we come to appreciate the true meaning of family and friends.  We realize how much our memories and past experiences have played in making us who we are today.  Thank you Buchtel Class of \'67 for being such an integral part of my life.
