Cheyenne (Hawkins) Thompson, 53, slipped into eternity on Jan. 4, 2003.
She was a resident of the Akron area since 1962. She had been employed with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for 15 years and the Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital until her ill ness. She was the pianist at the Macedonia Baptist Church and played every Sunday up until her demise.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Dr. William K. and Nancy Hawkins, and brothers, Rev. Alfred, Rev. William K Hawkins Jr. She leaves, to mourn her passing, loving and devoted husband, Frank L. Thompson; sons, Damon (Octavia), Shawn Richardson; daughter, Aires Richardson; brother, David (Nona) Hawkins of South Carolina; sisters, Carolyn Hooks, Donzella (Jimmie) Rodgers, Sheila Hollinger; stepdaughters, Tai and Kellie Thompson; mother-in-law, Louise Thompson; sister-in-law, Toni Thompson; very dear friend, Bernice Richardson; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church, Pastor Lorenzo Glenn officiating. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; the family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1751 Sheffield Ave.
