Daniel Dan McClish

Born on Dec. 21, 1948, Daniel E. McClish lost his valiant fight against cancer on March 9, 2012.
Dan was born in Akron to Robert and Helen (Dull) McClish. He was a graduate of Buchtel High School and the University of Akron. Dan worked for Milo Corp., Stambaugh's, AnaComp and most recently taught at Brown Mackie College in the Business Department.
Dan was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church where he was involved in many activities through the years including member of the church council and Sunday School teacher for 22 years. He was also a member of Kiwanis.
Dan married the love of his life, Zoe (Bartz), on June 25, 1972 and together they had two sons, Robert and Jonathan with whom he created many wonderful memories.
Preceeded in death by his father, Robert; mother, Helen; father-in-law, Rev. Fr. George Bartz; and granddaughter, Danielle McClish; Dan leaves behind his wife, Zoe; sons, Robert (Tammy) and Jonathan; grandson, Daniel; step grandsons, Stephen and Michael Gaglione; sisters, Barbara (Bill) Capron, Karen (Britt) Bare; brothers Dick (Debbie) and David (Jana); mother-in-law, Zafera Bartz; brother-in-law, Rev. Bill (Emily) Bartz; sisters-in-law, Pam (Paul) Plumis and Nicole (Rev. Costas) Keares; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom loved spending time with him.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. Jerry Hall officiating. Interment Mt. Peace Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. and at the church on Tuesday, prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fr. George and Presvytera Zafera Bartz Camp Scholarship Fund, c/o Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church,129 South Union Street, Akron, OH 44304.
