Jean Hanahan, 81, of Phoenix, Ariz., died on Aug. 12, 2004.
She was raised in Lisbon, Ohio and attended Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio. She lived in Akron from 1954 until 1969, when she and her family relocated to Phoenix, Ariz. Dur ing her time in Akron, she was an English teacher at Buchtel High School.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bill; children, Maureen Chavez, Kathleen Wade and Patrick Hanahan; sis ter, Ruth Ann Schafer; and five grandchildren.
Final resting for Jean will be in Lisbon, Ohio, with a service at 1 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Lisbon on September 11, 2004.
